Ford Escape to be sold in China, along with 2.0T Edge
According to Chinese media reports from earlier this morning Ford are planning to bring the 2012 Ford Escape into the Chinese market as early as next year as an imported vehicle. Ford are eager to boost their China line up, but will be relying on imported products to boost their dealer offerings in the short term before increasing their locally produce range.
Ford already sell the Canadian made Ford Edge in the Chinese market as a 3.5L vehicle, Ford are expected to introduce the new 2.0T Ecoboost Edge into China in the next few weeks, a lower displacement is likely to bring lower pricing than the current 350,000rmb range for the V6 version.
